How the content on this site is produced, sourced, corrected and — where relevant — refused.
Who writes here
Unless a piece carries a different byline, everything published on this site is written by Luis Almeida and represents his own view. Where a guest contributes, they are named.
Opinion, analysis and fact
These are distinguished deliberately. Analysis is argued from evidence that is linked or cited. Opinion is labelled as such. A section marked Luis’ Take is explicitly a personal interpretation rather than a neutral summary, and should be read that way.
Claims and evidence
Statistics are published with a source. Client results are published only where the client has approved both the narrative and the numbers, and where the measurement method can be stated. Figures that cannot be evidenced are not published, even when they are flattering — which is why several sections of this site are shorter than they could be.
Predictions
Predictions carry the date they were made, the horizon they apply to and the reasoning behind them. They are reviewed afterwards and given a status, including Wrong. Predictions that turn out to be wrong stay published, with a note on why.
The radar
Statuses on the AI & Business Radar are editorial judgements made at a point in time. They are not measurements, not algorithmically derived, and not objective. They are stated in a form that can be argued with.
Anonymous questions
A question sent through Ask Luis is published only where the sender has explicitly given permission. That permission is off by default. Questions are published without the sender’s identity, and any detail that would identify the sender or their employer is removed — or the question is not published at all.
E-mail addresses, technical metadata, internal notes and moderation status are never published and are never exposed through any public page or feed.
Use of AI in producing content
Artificial intelligence tools may be used in research, drafting or editing. Every published piece is reviewed and stands as Luis’ own argument, and he is accountable for it. Nothing is published as his opinion that he does not hold.
Any conversational feature built on his published work will answer from that published material and will say so — and will say when it does not know, rather than inventing a position on his behalf.
Commercial relationships
Where a piece relates to a commercial relationship, that relationship is disclosed in the piece. Editorial coverage is not sold.
Corrections
Substantive errors are corrected in place, with a note on what changed and when. Minor corrections are made silently. If you find an error, the fastest route is to say so anonymously — no name required, and it will still be fixed.
Third-party content
Articles, interviews and videos published elsewhere are linked and summarised, never reproduced in full. Where a thumbnail or excerpt is shown, it is because the rights allow it.
